Although Chris’s first discipline was Printmaking it was not until after completing a Masters in Design and Digital Media that he turned his attentions to the commercial world of digital media. He gained valuable experience working as a Senior Designer for a London-based interactive TV company where he was responsible for the structure, creative direction and leadership of the design team to develop a brand image and a web-based interactive TV portal.
In 2002 Chris moved back to his birthplace of Margate and formed a partnership with Mick Etherton at Beeping Bush Ltd. He provided design and technological direction for Beeping Bush Productions and began working as a video editor and DVD producer. He also gained experience as 2nd cameraman, sound recordist and graphic designer on a number of short and feature length films and documentary projects, including graphic design for The Margate EXODUS, a Film4 feature filmed in Thanet.
Chris now works within the rapid and dynamic environment of digital video and design, both for Beeping Bush Ltd and as a freelancer. Chris has also taught and assessed Degree and Master students on visual screen design, experimental sound theory and DVD authoring.
