People United – is a charity that uses the arts and creativity to promote social cohesion and kindness.
Working with leading universities (particularly the University of Kent), People United acts as a practical laboratory, testing out and professionally evaluating creative social programmes that can be replicated and shared.
Our work takes place in high streets, schools, residential homes and offices. From intergenerational understanding and pro-social behaviour, to volunteering and corporate ethics; our work lays the foundations for a responsible, caring and happy society.
We are a catalyst for kindness.
The Kind Towns Programme - our ambitious new project using the arts to tell good news stories across the whole of Herne Bay. Our aims are to increase engagement, reduce social isolation, increase trust and increase volunteering by 20% in a two year period. It should also be a lot of fun! If you'd like to get involved please get in touch with Sarah, our project manager, at sarah@peopleunited.org.uk or call 01227 470973
